Last Thursday, waste reduction enthusiasts gathered at one of Hawaii Pacific University's new rooms at Aloha Tower for a Food Waste Networking event. The event was put on by Kupu's RISE program (Rewarding Internships for Sustainable Employment) and featured a screening of the film Dive!
Among the many inspirational projects we learned about was a comprehensive organic waste collection and processing program at Pearl City High School managed by Waikiki Worm Company.
